Thank You

Happy Hump Day!  Today's card is completely out of my element, but still trying to capture this Clean and Simple style I see so many ladies doing. It's a beautiful style, just out of my range, I think. Anyway.... here is my card....

Miss Kate Cuttables "Fairy Silhouettes" and inked around her with pink ink. The same pink ink I used to ink up the embossing and used for the sentiment banner. Fairy is adhered with a foam square from the Royal Castle Shoppe.  The sentient banner stamp and metal die are both from Stampin' Up. Flower and Button from stash.

Thanks for fluttering by today to see what I'm up to!

Guest Designer at Die Cuttin Divas - Calendar Recycle on a Card

Today I am a Guest Designer at Die Cuttin Divas! Woo-Hoo! What an honor!

The theme is centered around Earth Day - something recycled on your project.

I thought it would be fun to create a card using something I would normally throw away. I took a calendar page from 2013 and tore it to fit my card base for a background. This is something I can see me doing on more cards. What a great way to recycle!

Papers:
  My Mind's Eye "Reunion"
  Glitz "Sunshine on my Soul"
  Echo Park "Happy Camper"
  Solids from scraps

My Creative Time supplies:
  Hello Chickie - sentiment
Hello Chickie - dies: basket, bow, eggs
To My Best Peep - bunny
Stitched Grass Die - cut in half and layered on top of each other
  Stitched Journal Die
Journal It - stamp on journal die

Rhinestone from Walmart
Twine from stash

Love how this turned out! Thanks for hopping by today. :) Janis

Wearing your Flip Flops yet?

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great Easter weekend. It was on the cold side here with rain and chilling breezes, but we managed to spend some time outside yesterday as it all dried back up again - still not warm enough for me though.

I'm not really a flip flop kind of girl. I know, gasp, right? I just can't stand things between my toes. LOL Sandals are more my style. Is the weather nice enough for you to wear your flip flops yet? I hope so! Summer will be here before we know it. We are already planning our beach trip for August. Can't wait!

Today I have a card to show you.

I used Miss Kate Cuttables "Tropical Bliss" file.

The cut files at Miss Kate Cuttables are so easy to use! I love them!!

Here's my card...

I used a color palette from the Colour Me challenge (I missed the deadline to enter though).

The card sketch is from Always Playing with Paper. She even includes the measurements for each element of the layout! Gotta love that!!

Everything was inked around the edges (distressing it for the Make My Monday challenge). Sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps, "Fun in the Sun," and background paper is from Doodlebug Designs "Sugar Shoppe" that you can get at the Royal Castle Shoppe.  All solid papers are Stampin' Up.

Speaking of SU, FREE SHIPPING started today! Shop at stampinup.com and choose me as your demo (Janis Lewis). Free Shipping today through Friday, April 25th.

Supplies also purchased from  Royal Castle Shoppe are the buttons, foam squares (love foam squares), and sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I've been up to.

Miss Kate Cuttables Design Team Day - Easter Scrapbook Double Layout

Happy Easter! Janis here from Pause Dream Enjoy. Today is my Design Team day to post for Miss Kate Cuttables. I can't wait to show you the project I made! But first, did you see today's FREEBIE

I thought it would be fun to post an Easter scrapbook double-page layout today. Several of the adorable Miss Kate Cuttables files were used for these scrapbook pages.

Castle

I used the Bushes from the Castle file for the CLOUDS on my scrapbook layout.

Here Comes the Sun title

The SUN was used (without the face) from the file above.

On the Road Again Title

The green rolling grass in the background above was used on the bottom of both of my scrapbook pages. I also used the negative (scrap piece left over after the grass was cut out) as well.

Some Bunny Loves You - girl

From the bunny file above, I used the title, eggs, grass, and of course, that adorable bunny!

Ready to see my scrapbook layout?

I love it!!

I added some flowers, buttons, and rhinestones with a little bit of inking on the grass, clouds, and title edges.

One of my favorite things to do when creating scenes on cards, tags, or scrapbook pages, is to have the sun going off the edge.

The basket was created using a metal die from My Creative Time.
Background papers are from Stampin' Up. I love the soft watercolor look of them.
Rhinestones and buttons from The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe (Facebook store).

I hope you all have a great day. Thanks so much for stopping by to see what I am up to today. Smiles!

:) Janis, DTM Miss Kate Cuttables
